Perform an ESD Walking Test for the qualification of ESD flooring and ESD footwear

To conduct The Waling Test, special equipment is required. For flooring and footwear qualification testing, an instrument that can measure the voltage and record the results is required. You must be able to obtain the maximum voltages during the test and record them to a chart recorder or plotter. The WT5000 meets this requirement and is an easy and cost effective way to conduct this test. Everything that is needed is included except for the computer. The WT5000 is very portable and easy to use and the software works with all current versions of Windows software. For an even easier set up, the EFM51.WT portable walking test kit can be used. This kit uses the EFM51 field meter along with the MK51 high voltage head and the voltage cable to determine walking voltage. The meter can be set to hold the maximum voltage seen. There currently is no data download capability, so while the system is not 100% compliant to the standard, it does provide accurate results at a low cost with very simple function. The EFM51.WT is an excellent option for compliance verification of a previously qualified footwear and flooring system.
