ESD Packaging
Improper packaging of ESD sensitive (ESDS) components, assemblies and equipment oftern resulting in hard and soft failures has cost both manufacturers and users millions, possibly even billions of dollars.
ESD Tape is designed to be low charging when unwound from the roll or removed from packaging or devices. It may also be static dissipative. Tape made with a conductive layer, such as conductive grid tape, is intended to provide shielding. Tape is sometimes printed with the ESD protection symbol to differentiate it from non-ESD tape and used to designate ESD areas or materials.
